This course is addressed to students interested in first line research in biotechnology. The first week will include theoretical training of the fundamental concepts and methodologies of modern biotechnology. The second week will focus on the experimental analysis of specific processes in animal and plant biotechnology. Finally, a mini-symposium will be held to exhibit the results of the analyses and work on scientific, socio-economic and ethical aspects related to the production of transgenic plants and animals in Europe. The course aims to bring students nearer to the scientific and business reality of the biotechnology field in Europe.
