A distinguished UCSD Alum, Dr. Eleanor Mariano, is speaking on Monday, May 14th 6 p.m. at the Natural Science Building Auditorium.
Dr. Eleanor Mariano was the personal physician to Presidents Bush and Clinton. She was the first woman to lead the White House Medical Unit and the first graduate of USUHS (Uniformed Services University of Health Sciences), the military’s medical school, to reach the rank of Admiral.
She will speak about how UCSD impacted her career, lessons as a military physician and lessons from a 9 year tour in the White House as the president’s doctor.
She has written a book, the White House Doctor, and has appeared on the Daily Show with Jon Stewart.
