Part-time student assistant position at the Sanford-Burnham Medical Research Institute

The Ronai laboratory at the Sanford-Burnham Medical Research Institute is a signal transduction laboratory that studies regulatory mechanisms of transcription and protein modification in the contexts of melanoma and prostate cancer. We are currently seeking a student with work-study hours for part-time laboratory assistance for the following time periods:

Immediately until the end of September 2012
Days per week: At least 3, preferrably 4
Max hours per week: 20

October 2012 on
Days per week: 2
Max hours per week: 10

Specific tasks include:
*General lab maintenance (including dishwashing, autoclaving, buffer/agar plate-making, stocking of reagents, laboratory laundry)
*Possible help with DNA extraction/purification, genotyping
