Brain Awareness Conference at UC Irvine

Greetings from UC Irvine’s Nu Rho Psi (the National Honor Society for
Neuroscience)!

We will be hosting a brain awareness conference on May 20th. The event aims
to educate the general public about basic neuroscience research as well as
research regarding specific neurological diseases, such as Alzheimer’s
disease and stroke. And so, I would like to cordially invite anyone
interested in presenting a poster pertaining to neuroscience to this event!

A little bit more about this event: it will comprise of two keynote
talks—one regarding the history of neuroscience research, the other about
the current state of this field and its future direction. In addition,
there will be a poster presentation session in which the audience can speak
directly with presenters regarding their research and its implications to
the general public.

With over 1 billion people worldwide battling neurological disorders, it is
important to be aware of these disorders and how research can combat them.
This event offers a unique opportunity for people to learn about these
disorders as well as for student researchers to communicate the importance
of their research to other undergraduates and the general public.

If you would like to participate or have any questions, please feel free to
email ahu2@uci.edu.

Thank you for your time and consideration!

Sincerely,

Annie Hu
