This year marks the 25th anniversary of the Students of Color Conference, with this year’s theme being “Crossing Communities: Making Our Struggle Known.” As the oldest and largest conference hosted by UCSA, SOCC provides a venue for students to gain the concepts and skills needed to identify issues related to race and ethnicity.  It also empowers students to begin thinking about the intersections of our own multiple dimensions of identity and how we can use this information to form action plans for positive change in our communities.

FREE transportation, lodging, workshops, caucuses, keynote speakers, performances and some meals will be provided. However, some meals are expected to be paid on your own.

For more information, check out the SOCC website at http://www.soccatucla.com/.

If you have any questions, feel free to email us at asvpexternal@ucsd.edu. We’re looking forward to your application!
