BISP 195 Information Session: Introduction to Teaching Opportunities for Undergraduates

Dear Biology Undergraduate Student,

Have you ever wondered what it takes to be a TA?  The Division of Biological Sciences will host an information session describing how undergraduates may participate in a Biology course through TA-type positions. If you are interested in earning academic credit (in some cases applicable toward major requirements) as an Undergraduate Instructional Apprentice (commonly referred to as a TA) while enrolled in BISP 195, Introduction to Teaching Biology, you will want to attend. If you have at least a 3.00 GPA, 90 completed units by the end of the Spring 2014 Quarter, and will be a registered UCSD Undergraduate student in the Fall 2014 Quarter, BISP 195, Undergraduate Instructional Apprenticeship may be for you!

To learn more, attend the Information Session next Thursday:

Thursday, April 17, 2014
4:00 – 5:00 p.m.
Bonner Hall 2130

Attendance at the information session is not required. General information about UGIA opportunities can be found here:

Students who successfully complete one quarter of BISP 195 are eligible to be paid for future service as an Undergraduate Tutor if selected for positions in subsequent quarters.
