UC San Diego’s 2014 Global Health Research Conference is a unique opportunity for students in all academic fields to present their research about the diversity of global health work around the world. The day will feature undergraduate and graduate research, and speakers from the UC San Diego Medical School, Global Health Institute, and Center on Global Justice.

The UC San Diego Global Health Minor invites submissions of abstracts for poster presentations at the Global Health Conference on Friday, May 30, 2014. All undergraduate and graduate students of UC San Diego who would like to present health-related research that they have conducted while a student are encouraged to apply.


April 1 – Submission System Opens

April 30 – Submission Deadline

May 10 – Notifications of Acceptance

May 15 – Confirmations Due from Accepted Poster Presenters


UCGHM seeks a broad range of topics to feature the rich diversity of global health work being done in global health across different disciplines.

Abstracts should include: title, aims, methods, results, conclusion

Total word count should remain under 500 words

Abstracts should be in narrative form – no tables, charts or graphs
