Choosing a Major: Winter 2015 Workshop

Are you still on the fence about the major you declared? Are you undecided or curious about different majors? If so, consider attending a “Choosing a Major” workshop in January:

Ever Winter quarter, the Colleges do a “Choosing a Major” workshop as part of the Career Services Center’s Career Discovery Quarter series. This is open to all students.

Title: Choosing a Major Workshop – Presented by the Colleges

Dates / Times:

  • Wednesday, January 21st, 10:00am – 11:30am (Week 3)
  • Tuesday, January 27th, 2:00pm – 3:30pm (Week 4)


College academic advisors will guide students through the process of exploring and choosing a major.  Students will take a Personality Mosaic to identify their values, skills, and interests in relation to potential majors as well as have the opportunity to connect with one another to discuss thoughts and ideas about different options.  Advisors will address steps for researching majors and accessing available support resources, including the wide range of tools, programs and events provided by Career Services, to aid in bridging one’s major and career. Important planning considerations will be addressed and common myths debunked. Open to students who are Undeclared, thinking of changing their major, or wanting to explore new majors!
