The Center for Visual Science at the University of Rochester announces
its 2016 Summer Research Fellowship Program in Vision Science.
Undergraduates in their junior (3rd) year during the 2015-2016 academic
year of baccalaureate studies interested in neuroscience, cognitive
science, artificial intelligence, and biomedical science are invited to
join the Center for Visual Science for a summer of supervised laboratory
training. Applicants will be selected based on academic achievements and
an interest in pursuing graduate studies in science. Both US and foreign
applications will be accepted.
Our fellowship will cover travel for US citizens and permanent residents
(and up to $500 in travel costs for foreign students) and cover the
majority of on-campus housing expenses for non-local students in
addition to a stipend of $3,820 for a summer of continuous training in a
faculty member’s lab. Training will also include an orientation, weekly
talks from CVS faculty, & a poster session and CVS picnic at summer’s
end. Rochester, located near Lake Ontario in western New York, is an
internationally recognized center for visual and imaging science and
provides a scenic and natural setting for a variety of outdoor activities.

and postdoctoral fellows interested in the Center for Visual Science
should contact the faculty member(s) who fits their areas of interest
Deadline to apply is March 1, 2016. Notifications of acceptance or
denial to the program will be sent by March 31, 2016.
