In compliance with the City’s NPDES permit with the Regional Water Quality Control Board, the Monitoring Section conducts water quality monitoring at receiving waters and over 500 MS4 outfalls within the City of San Diego.
Interns assist Biologists in the field and office while gaining knowledge of local, state, and federal storm water regulations. This opportunity would be valuable to any students interested in obtaining experience in water quality monitoring and regulations.
Due to the nature of their field work, they prefer students who can work mornings up to early afternoon and can make a commitment to working for a year. A valid driver’s license and clean record are required.
