BASF invites you to participate in the “2018 BASF Science Competition.” This is our fourth annual science competition and this year it’s focused on plant health and stressors. Details can be found at http://basf.us/science-competition.
The competition is designed to help young researchers like you develop creative potential, communication and networking skills. The finalist teams will receive cash prizes and receive an all-expense paid trip to the BASF site in Research Triangle Park, NC for the final event on July 18-20, 2018.
As part of BASF’s “We Create Chemistry” strategy, we present the following challenge for the 2018 North American Science Competition: What technologies can be used for rapid and quantitative identification of plant responses to biotic stress?
The proposal submission period is February 26, 2018, through April 17, 2018. Submitted proposals will be evaluated based on their scientific and commercial merit by experts in the field. On May 1, 2018, up to 5 proposals will be selected as finalists. The finalists will receive coaching to help develop a pitch for their proposal to be presented to a judging panel of BASF executives. The winning team will be selected during the idea pitch event held on July 18-20, 2018 at the BASF location in Research Triangle Park, NC.
